Cheryl Mount

Cheryl Mount graduated from Concordia University in Montreal with a major in Fine Arts, and continued her studies at McGill University. Living in British Columbia for a period of time she pursued studies at BCIT, and the Emily Carr College of Art.
Settling in Oakville Ontario, Mount is constantly traveling, studying, and pursuing professional level courses.

Mounts journey began with representing images in a perceptual manner. It is now following a transitional path to painting conceptually while utilizing the landscape in a more contemporary way. The paintings have become an intuitive reaction to shapes and lines incorporating a poetic and musical reference.
Melody, harmony and rhythm are consistent elements in her contemporary landscapes.

Cheryl Mount shares her time between her beloved homes in Muskoka and Oakville.
