David Wright's Koi Ponds are truly wonderful paintings. Appreciated for their subtlety of color, touch, and naturalist observation, balanced by a fine sense of painterly qualities.
Wright trained as a painter in England receiving a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1970, and a Masters Degree in Fine Art from the University of Reading in 1972.
Since emigrating to Toronto, he has had over 30 solo exhibitions in Canada, the U.S.A. and Mexico and been included in numerous group exhibitions internationally. His paintings are included in over one hundred public and corporate collections, including the Canada Council Art Bank, Bell Canada, the Toronto Stock Exchange, Allstate Insurance, and American Airlines.
