Born in France and raised in Montreal, Yvette Boulch-Laezza currently resides in Mississauga. She began studying art as part of her undergraduate degree at McGill University and futher developed her craft through studio and art history classes at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto. She is an active member of Visual Arts Mississauga and is affiliated with the Mississauga Arts Council.
Her paintings are focused compositions, expressed in a realist style, through which she invites the viewer to explore the manner in which light reveals the physical nature of the subject, as well as the meanings attached to it. Her preferred medium is oil.
